Fearless Hope Gala 2018
This year has really been filled with such amazing clients I cant even begin to describe. I have been blessed with so many opportunities this year, despite how bad my year started, I am coming out stronger and ready for the next challenge.
I photographed a very special event earlier this month kind of by chance! I am part of a Facebook group (here I go again rambling about this lol), I saw someone had posted they were looking for vendors to donate services for a silent auction. I felt something move me into donating a one hour family session to this organization. After they accepted my offer, they asked me if I could photograph the event. I was over to the moon and honored to be a part of such a moving, incredible night.
For those of you that do not know what Fearless Hope is:
It's a community of prayer and support for children with visual impairment. Fearless Hope believes in giving children love and hope in spite of all visual odds and challenges. This organization has a special place in my heart. Y'all know my daughter was born at 25 weeks gestation and also battled many challenges (and still does to this day). For a family to fight for their daughter against all odds to get her to be able to see, something we take for granted everyday, just makes my heart want to explode. All of the families and kids stories that have been helped by this non profit organization are a blessing. It was clear to me how close knit they are as soon as I started taking pictures that night.
I had 2 photoshoots the morning I shot this event, two in the afternoon and then shot this 4 hour event (all in one day, you read that right!) My feet felt like they were going to fall off. My eyes were tired and blurry from shooting all day. My hands we sore from holding my very heavy camera. All of that to say that I love my job. Especially on days like this when I got to end it getting a hug from one of the kindest most warm hearted children I have ever met. Finley, you touched my heart that night with your story. You are so special and God is molding you into something even more incredible. Thank you for taking a picture with me. To learn more about Finley's story visit www.fearlesshope.org or to make a donation. Any little bit counts!
