Guevara Family Portraits

Happy #throwbackthursday everybody!

As 2018 comes to an end, I wanted to take yall back to last years family fall mini session with the Guevara family. I enjoyed photographing this sweet family of 4 very much. They were so easy to work with, listened to direction well and were up for all my ideas with posing. It makes the session flow well when you connect with your photographer, and do as they say (after all we are the experts you hired). This helps your session go quickly, smoothly and happy!

The only reason I say this is because sadly, some of the clients I have had in the last two months got upset with me when they didn't receive their gallery back in a matter of days. They also were very rude in pointing out that they needed their images back right away to order Christmas cards (JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE). It sucks because I try to be nice, and I sit day and night and edit pictures for people and they don't appreciate my time and work ethic, they just want something cheap and fast. I am sorry, but that is not the type of photographer that I am.

I like to take my time on your images, I dont just throw a filter on it and call it a day, I am giving you the best images possible back! That takes patience, especially on my busiest season. This is exactly why I held my fall and winter mini sessions early. So you can order holiday cards in time to send them out. If you book last minute, know that you are NOT my only client. Know that it WILL take me a little longer to get them back to you, BUT that I am doing my best and going as fast as I can to get them to you.

I have been going back and forth about this but, I have decided next year I will no longer offer mini sessions of any kind. I have been bending backwards for people all year to accommodate to their schedule and I am missing valuable time with my own family. I am not just a photographer, I am a wife, a mom and a daughter. I will only be offering one hour and two hour family sessions in 2019 and my prices are increasing. This is not by one or two people, I have thought about this long before all the drama happened. I am straight forward with y'all from the beginning about how many images you get in each package, how long the editing process takes etc. If you cannot respect my time, I cannot take you on as a client.

With that being said, THANK YOU to those of you who have stuck by my side since day one. Who keep coming back for pictures every year. Who cheer me on and uplift me even after I go on a rant (like the one above lol). Who love me and appreciate me in my busiest time of the year. I cannot thank you enough for your support. Your sessions literally pay our bills, put food on the table and a roof over our heads. It may not be a conventional job like everyone's 9-5 but it's my passion. I hope everyone that reads this can understand that. I am not trying to single anyone out since I have had a handful like this, but I am not putting up with it anymore. So thank you again to those of you who continue to support my business! I owe all of yall a big hug!!

I am ready for 2019 and all the new faces, returning clients and adventures we will have together! Hope to see you there... y'all are basically my extended family <3
